The production process of gift boxes

2025-01-07

The production process of the gift box is completed by printing, surface finishing, outer material die-cutting, gray board die-cutting, gray board slotting, gray board forming, outer material mounting, assembly, inspection, and packing. The manufacturing process of gift boxes is complex and cumbersome, and the process standards are much higher than those of origami boxes.

So what are the specific processes?

1. Paper selection

According to the design requirements of the customer's documents and the effect to be reflected, the choice of paper is very important. The main considerations in this regard are:

(1) The type of paper, such as coated paper, art paper, and pearlescent paper.

(2) The thickness of the paper. The paper should not be too thick, it is easy to wrinkle when it is thick, but it should not be too thin, otherwise the embossing effect will not be reflected.

(3) Consider the decorative effect of the surface.

2. Surface decoration

There are very, very many surface decoration processes, the most common ones are offset printing, and then the various processes carried out on this basis are:

(1) Reverse upward light;

(2) Coating (light film, matte film, tactile film, scratch resistant film, etc.);

(3) Hot stamping (gold, red gold, color gold, silver, laser, etc.);

(4) Partial scraping of UV oil or screen ink;

(5) Special colorful powder;

(6) convex;

(7) Embossing and so on.

3. The choice of gray board paper

Gray cardboard, referred to as gray cardboard, is produced from a recycled waste paper. It is mainly divided into single gray, double gray, full gray and high gloss, which is determined according to the customer's requirements for surface flatness. It is an environmentally friendly packaging material, the quantity from 250g ~ 10000g, the thickness from 0.4mm ~ 20mm, the thickness and quantitation even without an upper limit, usually according to the size of the gift box and choose the appropriate specifications of the gray board card.

4. Die-cutting

Die-cutting, is a very important part of the process, special gift packaging box, the technical requirements for die-cutting are higher, precision and accuracy determine the quality of the product, a slight error directly affects the quality of subsequent processing.

5. Slotting

Slotting is to use a slotting machine to open a V-shaped groove on a 1~4mm thick gray board, generally retain a connection layer of about 0.25mm, and the V-shaped groove is angled, generally 90 degrees, 120 degrees, or according to the product structure to open a V-shaped groove at different angles.

6. Pasteing

Mounting, is a necessary process in the gift box process, it is according to the requirements of different products, the copper paper, art paper, flannel, leather through the glue machine glue or spray, and the gray board is tightly glued together, so that the gray surface of the gray board has a new look, which not only beautifies the appearance of the box, but also improves the added value of the packaging box.

The usual packaging boxes are first framed and then die-cut, but the paste-like gift box is die-cut and then mounted, the purpose of this is: first, afraid of the outer material fouling, affecting the appearance; Second, the gift box pays attention to the harmony of the overall effect, and the rear mounting can completely cover the support, so that the gray of the gray board is wrapped by the novel design of the outer material, and what is presented to us is a beautiful work of art; The third is that some complex structure of the box, still inseparable from manual operation paste, this is not the machine can not be replaced, but manual can be glued in place every detail of the box, so that the outer mounting paper and the gray board are more closely pasted.
